There is no perfect energy plan, but Bushies have got me so anti-oil (see wars, gouging, pollution, terrorism, political corruption) that I am even willing to support nuclear power in order to make hydrogen fuels or whatever else we need.

We really need to clean up the air and guard our oceans and waterways against further pollution. We literally depend on those to stay alive.

While nuclear power has a big waste problem, it's probably worth it to deliver clean-burning auto fuels, and to get rid of coal-burning power plants. Coal also strips wildlands and leaves them black holes. Plus we need to stop cutting down forests for paper. That's where legalizing hemp (the non stoner type) makes a lot of sense. You can also make types of oil out of hemp. And a lot more.
