Bush-Cheney are liars because after they decided amongst themselves to invade Iraq, they went to congress, the American People and the UN and presented evidence they knew to be phony, including the Niger uranium claim, the mushroom cloud claims, the WMD missiles claims, the aluminum tubes claim, the Atta-Prague meeting BS, the mobile labs BS, the Iraqi exiles wild lies, the Lippi lies, the Al Qaida training camps in Iraq fabrications, the Zarqawi amputation and a lot more.
Giving Bush-Cheney the benefit of the doubt, they certainly knew at least some of these claims were totally phony, if not all of them. There is evidence that the intelligence community had debunked many of the above stories after all.
Furthermore, Bushies lied to us saying that the invasion would be paid for by Iraqi oil, that it would bring down gas prices, that we would be greeted as liberators, that we could not distinguish between Saddam and Al Qaida, and that the whole war would not last more than a few weeks or months and would bring stability to the middle east.
Giving them the bnefit of the doubt again, maybe they were just wildly unrealistic and over-optimistic. But you know as well as I do that they attacked Joe Wilson for a reason. Because he exposed something they needed to hide. Also, the Downing Street Memos state that the Bushies were manipulating intel to fit their WMD argument for invading. |
