JCP, How about if we just make the inheritance tax 100%? Then we wouldn't end up with guys like the Chrysler scion OR Paris Hilton Then how would parents be able to pay for their kids college tuition, or buy them a new car, or hand over the family farm/store/house? Besides, there are ways around the inheritance tax, is there not? In Miss Hilton's case, she might eke out a living as a skinny prostitute, but at least she'd be WORKING. I remember discussing this issue with someone regarding Bill Gates and how he said he won't leave his children with more than a fwe hundred thousand dollars. The funny thing is that the Gates children will still inherit something that's extremely valuable: the Gates family name. I figure that even if you start Paris Hilton at "zero," she'll still have her family name, and that will always give her a leg up over the competition ... Tenchusatsu
