Did you also read the part about there being very few Iraqis capable of leadership? Yes, a successful Iraqi military and police will have substantial leadership from Americans into the foreseeable future. Just the fact that they are putting an Iraqi face on policing makes the process easier for Iraqis to accept.

I also read elsewhere that there are numerous Iraqi in Jordan as a result of fleeing for their safety. There are numerous negatives in Iraq. The FMSM is doing an excellent job of covering all of them. There are some positives; these appear to universally escape the notice of the FMSM.

If President Bush can stabilize Iraq so even a Democrat President cannot snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again, we can all be very proud of him. American sacrifices are not a thing that should be easily discarded for the benefit of the liberal democrat agenda.
