When you read their official line carefully, what was being said and what was not being denied (!), I believe what came out was that they were doing business with and/or had at one time been doing business with 5 out of the 6 top guys.
Furthermore they never claimed to have been in volume production with all of them.

Yes, I believe you can be number one without being that heavily involved with the leading 5 out of 6 of the cell phone vendors. The remaining market is HUGE and much of that is in Asia, where OVTI has a BIG market share.

Having said all that, one must really look for exotic explanations to the exotic set of key figures for this company. Economics school analysis of their data at the best explains almost nothing.

IMO it's absolutely fair enough to ask the question, what drags down this issue for what now seems to be forever? No easy conventional answer to that, I believe.
