Kerry wanted to make sure Saddam was disarmed. He never flip-flopped and his approach to Iraq was the right one. However, the intel he saw may have been cooked up by Bushies. I'm sure it was. The Senate only saw what the Bushies wanted them to see and nothing else.

Once Bush-Cheney made Iraq the WHite House's #1 issue, we all agreed on wanting to make sure Saddam was disarmed. That is not the issue. Just as we all agreed on invading Afghanistan.

But the UN inspectors found nothing and if Bush had let them keep searching they'd have confirmed there was nothing there. Kerry was for giving it another six months before invading and not only making sure about the WMD's but also prepping the troops better and making sure we had a full Gulf War style coalition and more UN support.

Of course Bush-Cheney did not want inspections. They wanted us to believe their scare tactics. They were eager to invade and occupy even without a plan.

You can't blame the war on Kerry. If he'd been in charge it would not have happened. Just inspections with the real threat of force, not the invasion, nor the occupation.
