Yes, but guarding the fort also means calling a spade a spade and not being afraid to use the military when we have to. Bush is bad, but Islamic culture is too. Sticking your head in the sand about that isn't the answer either.

Trust me, my head is not in the sand about terrorists; not Muslims but terrorists.

Having said that, the biggest threat to our democracy is not the terrorists but GW Bush and an apathetic America.
