Why not just toss the money they lose in the slots out in the streets? Their families will suffer no more.

If the right to contract is sacrosanct, why not make hits legal too? You are, after all, interfering with the right of adults to contract in not not doing so. You may say people are hurt by that. They aren't by casinos?

You are decreasing everyones freedom every time you pass a law. Some laws are necessary though. One of the troubles with many libertarians is a refusal to recognize that. Libertarinism and anarchy are indistinguishable in some versions.

What is required to prove incompetence? Missing a credit card payment? Losing a house? Bankruptcy? These things don't really happen out of the blue. There are a long series of contributing factors.
