Bush lied stating that the war powers would only be used to "keep the peace" and to "avoid conflict". He specifically promised congress that war powers would only be used as a last resort if absolutely necessary. Bush lied. He rushed in willy-nilly, kicked out the inspectors and got us quagmires before we even knew if there any WMD or not. Bush and his people further lied saying there were absolutely WMD and a nuke program, even after the UN inspectors had found nothing. They lied. Bush lied. NBo way around this. The quotes are all there on tape. Bush also said we cannot distinguish between Al Qiada and Saddam, and Cheney said Saddam's people had met with Mohemmed Atta. Both big fat lies. And they knew it.
