September Issue - they ran comparisons of internet calls using Nortel/Micom, Inter-tel, NSPK and VOCLF. As far as voice was concerned INTL came first, closely followed by Micom. NSPK came in third and VOCLF last (as far as voice quality is concerned).
Bear in mind these products have different applications so comparisons may not be valid and the testing is less than scientific.
What I mean is, it does appear that INTL has a very nice vocoder. On the other hand they may be using more bandwidth for voice than the others. It would have been a little better if they had done a few stress tests etc.
Apart from the nice "write-up" for INTL and a basic explanation how internet telephony works the article is not really a good evaluation from a technical "quality" perspective and to compare products in the test enviroment they used really doesn't tell you much.
