Sure but again, while they were winning the war - and don't forget very few in the West gave Russia 3 months to surrender at the time - the only war criminals the Germans were thinking of were the Churchills and the Harrises. Those were the guys ready to get it as soon as the war was won by the Germans. The Germans most likely even had plans to use the allies's documents from WW I and by replacing the names there by corresponding WW II names from the other side, they would get even.
