Only people with a political agenda would say they think he "mislead" which of course means lied.

I disagree that that's the only explanation. I think that's a reasonable reaction by the deeply distrustful. It's also a reasonable reaction by those who thought it obvious that Saddam didn't have anything all that dangerous and that Bush should have been able to see that if they could. There are probably some other bases for that POV.

There are also those who don't know the difference between telling a lie and inadvertently providing false information. There have been many, many discussions on SI that illustrated that people call mistakes lies.
