Oil is politics and politics is oil. Peak oil is real. One reason we know is that American oil fields peaked decades ago and have been declining ever since. Now Englands oil fields have peaked. Canada has started to massively develop tar sands that until now would not be profitable. With high prices they are and will be more so in the future that they see for oil. Saudi Arabia has been stimulating wells by pumping sea water into them to get the oil out faster. This destructive practice ruins the well eventually and shortens it's productive life. Are they insane? No. Just responding to American political pressure to increase production to meet demand. China and India are bidding up world oil prices in their quests for enough oil to satisfy their economies demands. There is not enough oil to go around anymore. Everyone's life is going to change. Russia has it's own oil but often are inept at getting it out of the ground. Iraq has huge oil reserves which the USA is fighting a war to control and are setting up yet another American puppet government so they can control it for our use. We can't have Iraq selling it's oil to China. Chavez in Venuezquala has decided to stand up to the US and sell it's oil to India. For his trouble Chavez had to deal with an attempted coup instigated by the oil hungry US. There is not enough oil anymore. A devestating flu pandemic that severely reduced the world population would reduce demand for oil. And what do we constantly hear is brewing but the bird flu. If Russia and China teamed up and destroyed the USA that would reduce oil demand. And there would be plenty for all. And btw Russia and China are forging a new alliance to thwart the US on the world scene. You know they have thought about how nice the world would be without the US. And guess what. The Russian nukes that Bush 41 said were dismantled were never dismantled!!
