Some are spreading the rumor that Walmart advises its employees to refrain from saying Merry Christmas. In fact some......like Bill O'reilly....... are saying flat out that they are prohibited from saying Merry Christmas and are to say Happy Holidays instead.

I did some shopping at Walmart today......something I rarely do.......and mentioned this to the lady that was checking me out. Her eyes got really big and she was flabbergasted and quite indignant. She made it quite clear that no one was going to tell her what she can and cannot say. When I asked her if she'd been instructed about procedure during the holidays she said no and that they had better not trample on her right to free speech.

I have to go back tomorrow. I'm going to ask whoever checks me out then the same question.

BTW I was extremely impressed by their products.....although I saw allot of made in China labels which saddens me really as I'd like to see more made in usa labels.......and I was especially impressed by the prices. Many of them were half what they are in other stores for the same darned thing.
