Fitzgerald has been busy. He has now indicted the most slimy Canadian (Conrad Black) that I know.This man has thought that he was above the law for the last 30 years and has used company treasuries as his own banking system.Few Canadians will feel any sympathy for him. CHICAGO (Reuters) - Criminal fraud charges were announced on Thursday against Conrad Black by U.S. prosecutors who accused the one-time publishing tycoon of looting his media empire, once one of the world's largest. The Canadian-born Black, a flamboyant conservative who is a member of the British House of Lords, was accused of siphoning off money from his former newspaper publishing company, U.S.-based Hollinger International Inc. (HLR.N: Quote, Profile, Research). The indictment, announced by U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald in Chicago, also named three former Hollinger executives.
