George, as a long time xomaster (xoma poster :-)), please share your thoughts on this analysis/scenario I am trying to clear-up: Is there any public opponent (newsletter-writer etc.) out there for XOMA? The reason I'm asking this, is from the observation that, Murphy is recommending it openly (in Worth etc.) for quite some time, and it still did not pick-up relative strength right away ... except these last few days. Usually what happens when Murphy goes publicly long with an equity, imho, is that, that it spikes-up right away, so much so that, except a few early-morning traders, it slips out of his declared buy range, for most folks. But this did not happen with XOMA, at least for a detectable amount of time. That indicates a definite presence of all-knowing seller Gods! Does that mean then, this is just a sympathy-biotech rally for XOMA? Does anyone know if Murphy is presently loading-up XOMA for his clients or not? If he does not remain bullish on XOMA, for whatever reason, then he will not even hesitate to recommend his readers to dump it one day ... just like an outright sale he called on ADSO and see what happened ... the stock went to bite the dust (from 5 to under a buck or so now). (Of course, this is an over-simplification for XOMA ... everything depends on FDA approvals etc.) But, I just wanted to make sure that, the current rally is not just Murphy-inspired, but has some genuine reason behind it (before embracing it with both hands)!
thanks, regards to all, -/Sonny. |
