Retail is a very competitive and low margin business. They work very hard to get customers in the door and to get them in a shopping mood once they're inside. A one percent drop in business is a disaster for them.

I've had a long business career and I can tell you from first hand experience that my Company refused to do business with more than 10% of potential customers. This due to their being incompetent, dishonest or otherwise unprofitable.

Your statement quoted above is utterly false.
