I don't think the Republicans are any more interested in fiscal discipline than are the democrats. They like to talk the talk because of all the years out of power when they used to rail against the democrat "tax and spend" practices. But when they got the power, same old, same old.

Many of us have run business divisions. Would it really be so impossible to do what virtually every business does every few years? Tell every cabinet position that discretionary spending has to be reduced by 3% from previous fiscal year actual outlays.
