again from Wed...15:32 STX Seagate Tech: Color on today's strength (16.16 +0.43) In addition to Hoefer & Arnett's positive comments on disk drive stocks mentioned earlier (15:23), the firm said earlier that their recent inventory and pricing checks, as well as discussions with industry sources, suggest that STX is having a strong qtr. While the Dec qtr is front end-loaded, firm believes that STX could post upside due to strong demand and/or better than anticipated pricing. Another possible upside factor for STX is the limited server and high density head supply at its competitors.
