Did you wake this morning with a plan of action and by morning tea had fomented jihad against them? Or did you wake and have a nice cup of tea, or perhaps coffee and think what a nice day it is? It always seems an odd entity "the nation", "my nation" and usually means, "my gang" and "my bank account". Otherwise, just what does it mean? My nation = GDP. Or My Nation = clean air per cubic metre. Or My Nation = total land area. Or My Nation = [Land area x GDP + Number of People]/Average age of people? Steady on M. If GWB is discredited, or not [he is already discredited on WMDs and this that and the other], it won't be a specially big deal for the USA. Certainly nothing to spoil your morning over. People do put their political ambitions above the nation. GWB and co do that too. They define the nation as being their interests. Democracy is like that. GWB's cronies exposed a CIA agent, perhaps to serve the national interest. But that's stretching "the national interest" and implies the CIA wasn't acting in "the national interest". Which is odd.
