it could make companies adjust how they maintain inventories for tax purposes. i remember state of pa. used to have an end of month inventory tax many years ago. I am sure it was taken into consideration in timing receipts of product and maintaining inventory levels.

i wonder if tax goes through or if this is all about posture for public. seems like a strange tax when you have supply concerns. yes, tax would only affect u.s. business .
