Dak, This is not a criticism of your remark. It's a serious question. Who do you think was worse than Dubya? I can think of several candidates: LBJ, Harding, US Grant, Tricky Dick. IMHO, Harding was the worst before Dubya, but as corrupt and evil as he was, he never started a war or tortured prisoners. I think some would say LBJ and much of what he did is very similar to what Bush is doing. If he didn't start the war in Vietnam, he sure took it from a brushfire to a major operation. And he lied about The Gulf Of Tonkin to get us involved. The Tiger Cages were nearly as bad as Bush's torture prisons. Nixon always has to be a candidate. I served in the military under LBJ and Tricky and hated them both. However, both were competent. Katrina would not have surprised them. And both had major accomplishments, whereas Bush has done nothing of lasting positive value. LBJ in Civil Rights and Nixon with opening China.
