Dear fellow stockholders: I had a stockbroker read the Preferred Share Purchase Rights letter-by this letter, any stockholder who bought before the August date is in possession of some very valuable property. If the company were to be pursued by a raider (or a company attempting to take over control of IDEC), has not only to purchase your stock, but also have to buy THE RIGHTS to buy the stock. The figure he quoted me is so high, I won't even mention it. It puts the stock out of reach for any practical takeover, but is nonetheless extremely valuable. HOLD ONTO THAT LETTER-I guarantee you won't be sorry! Roger
