The news from Orange County is that RE inventory finally higher than it was a year ago. Tightest supply was in March 2004. Inventory grew until August 2004. Then it was receding until March 2005. It has been growing since then. Orange County number of MLS listings for sale 08/11/2004 12930 -- top in 2004 03/17/2005 4594 -- bottom in 2005 Yesterday it was at 8800 which is same as last year.
