I don't think anybody else could have played the part, but in my view the singing in the TV trailers is about as much like Cash as his physical appearance is. Of course, I don't remember what Cash looked like when he was that age. The voice is reminiscent, but in no way a duplicate, of Cash's, in my opinion.
