Both parties are responsible for the situation we find ourselves in. Bush didn't veto any spending, yet if he had the economic downturn and the war costs and etc., would have left us pretty much right where we are, since he would NOT have cut spending enough to do the job if he HAD vetoed bills. Democrats themselves would ensure that that didn't happen. Right now spending cuts are proposed which aren't sufficient, but which Democrats will try to ensure don't happen. Your partisan blather attempting to blame the economy on Bush alone, is ludicrous.

If you think raising taxes, particularly on the "rich" alone, would fixed the deficit and would have brought a booming economy, you are so clueless you are beyond help. Business most ALWAYS pass such costs on to consumers, yes they virtually always can and do. Want to hire government to stop them from passing it on? LOL...then pay the government to oversee the eventual need to funnel MORE taxes back INTO business which suddenly can't make payroll or don't see the incentive to even keep producing. LOL. Watch the unproductive money shufflers grow in number while they grow their pensions, that's what your socialist views would have us do.

Only Freedom Works, which is a truism for the little guy.
