Laz, I know there were a lot of English people that sympathized with Hitler because of their hate for the Jews, but didn't think that the general populace felt the same was. When Hitler invaded Poland, it probably surprised the English, and caused them to rethink their feelings about Hitler.

I mentioned North Africa in my last post. The Italians made no progress in battle, and the German army had to take over, but Hitler seemed very in favor of war in Africa to send his best tank commander there instead of the other fronts. Romel was the best they had, and must have been a good man, as well as soldier, because he participated in the attempt to kill Hitler, when he realized how crazy the Hitler was. I think that Romel knew they could not beat the Allies, but as a soldier, he did his duty to country.
