Murtha and Kerry should compromise then we should all get behind that plan. I'm sure 80% of Americans could agree on that gradual pull-out within one year.

The difference between Murtha and Kerry's plans is probably six months, so not a huge deal, which is what many Republicans agree with anyway. Also, our army and Marines are so over-taxed now we almost have to withdraw by then. Our recruiting is going terribly and those troops and that money is needed back home.

Only rightwing Bushies will be unhappy with this, but screw them, they're the dishonest jerks who got us into this mess and ran the war without realistic concern to begin with. They had their chance and blew it. No confidence in them anymore.

All these rightwing congressmen complaining are the ones who are not going to be re-elected next year. Mark my words. Deny Hastert is going down now too.
