We Democrats are much more pro troops as people. That is proven by the hard fights we've had to make sure troops get health care and body armor. The rightwing is pro war and pro big defense contracts. Big difference. While it's true many soldiers lust for battle, it's not in our interest as a nation to stick them in unfriendly places and try to get them killed and maimed. It's also not smart to yell "Bring it on!" in Iraq, which Bush did. That got troops killed. Combat is something real vets like Kerry and Murtha don't talk about. Those who talk about combat, dress up in uniforms they didn't earn and act all macho are phony wannabes.
