Richard Clarke stated under oath that the White House or State Department ordered him to let the Saudis and Bin Laudens out of the country after 9-11 without interrogation. Under oath. So don't try to spin this.

Later, Clarke took responsibility. He also apologized to the 9-11 victims families. But he wasn't to blame. He is just a responsible leader who doesn't mind apologizing and taking responsibility. The culprits were at the top. Bush-CHeney and company. Why didn't Bush, Cheney and Rice apologize to the 9-11 victims families? After all, they were warned on 8-6 that such a thing might happen, and they did absolutely nothing.
