Lindburg was one American that sympathized with Hitler, and was quite verbal about it.
Henry Ford was another. But if you're familiar with him, that is certainly no sujrprise. He would have fitted right in a totalitarian state. He had a small one of his own.

I think we're saying the same thing. Chamberlain finally woke up and, along with France, made a mutual defense pact with Poland. When Hitler invaded Poland....

One thing that has always bothered me is that Russia invaded Poland soon after and this was politely overlooked. Realpolitik, I guess.

I don't know if Rommel was Prussian, or not, but they were known as the ultimate soldiers in Europe, and fought by the rules, and with honor. To commit any war crimes would have been a spot on his honor, and that meant the most to him.
He was born in Wurtemmburg, well to the southwest of Prussia.
