The pressure will be for a firm schedule of troop withdrawals.

So I caught out of the corner of one eye something late Friday about a grandstanding showdown on Iraq. The population of my house just doubled and is about to triple, and the big TV has been commandeered for X-Box.

You know, it's not easy to keep up with politics when you can only catch it on the fly.

So I don't know what the talking heads are saying. But if I may pundify just for a moment, I think it was actually brilliant street theater by the Republicans. Wonder what brainiac thought of it. Because only 3 people were willing to vote for immediate withdrawal -- which is incredible.

It suggests to me that the Ionesco wing of the Democrat party is rather tiny, and she's far from radical herself. [Edit: I see Ionesco is not in favor of immediate withdrawal, so maybe I should say the Tiger Paw wing of the Democrat party?]

Does anybody know what Howard Dean thinks about Friday's vote?
