Pretty much. Although, in his defense, he was probably told it was from Sherman's March to the Sea. That was held closely to the hearts of many Georgians until their economic boom that started in the 1980s. Since then, they don't obsess over it nearly as much. Amazing how making decent money means that old hurts, real and imagined, don't have much sting any more.


Were there remnants of his march to the sea even as late as the 1980s.....not intentional ones for historical purposes but ones where no one bothered to clear? I find that hard to believe.
