And Murtha disagreed with the republican sponsored vote on Immediate withdrawal. It's being framed as Murtha's position, but it's not. What Murtha said, is lets put a time table to it with the goal of not withdrawing, but redeployment to Kuwait. Murtha would like it to be the goal over the next 6 months. A very wise move IMHO. The elections will have passed and it's time to let Iraqis sort out their differences with out the US involvement. Then if terrorists make trouble for the Iraqis, we're right there on the horizon.

There is no mission accomplished with a well entrenched "insurgency" wanting you out. How many more boys do you want blown up with IED's? It's guerilla warfare and a lose lose situation that we shouldn't have been in in the first place.

Everyone sees the republican maneuvering for what it is...a waste of time and taxpayer money.
