Bushism is the opposite of Jeffersonian democratic ideals. As part of Jefferson's founding statements on our democracy, he insisted honest debate and dissent were not only part of, but necessary to a strong democracy. Bushies have gone to war with dissent and honest debate. They have gone to war against the truth. SO they are the opposite of Jeffersonians. The quote, while in the spirit of Jefferson, is probably a shortened version. I have no idea where Chinu found it. But the spirit of it is correct.
