regli, thanks for the link, but they are naughty and do what dishonest tendentious "scientific" people often do. They take a truth, being that human genes are stirred up and spread everywhere, so that "races" are all a big mix of all the genes, then stretch it and conclude false things. What they ignore is that there are greater proportions of genes in some places than others.

So, for example, you will find more melanin producing genes in Africa than in Norway. Which is not to say you can't find deep melanin genes in Norway and albino people in Africa.

You will find more Tay Sachs genes in Ashkenazi Jews than in Japanese. You will find more tall genes in Dutch people than right next door in Belgium. That's because they have a lot of canals in Holland and so when drunk people fall in them, the tall ones can stand up and not drown [that's my theory, though I haven't published a peer-reviewed paper on it].

This all seems so obvious, that I'm surprised people have trouble understanding it. I think there must be an "understanding" gene which some races are missing. Unfortunately, that race is spread everywhere, so we can't nuke them. But gradually they are being eliminated as they are in gaol during reproductive years, they kill themselves and others in car crashes, they smoke, drink and eat themselves into an early grave, they do lots of death-dealing things [mostly to themselves fortunately].

<In order not to waste bandwidth on an issue that should be obvious to most, I am deferring to this link about the subject >

Did you see that high IQ is directly correlated with longevity, right up to 165? 165 people live longer than do 150 people. So you can see why poor countries, which have lower intelligence, on average, also have reduced life expectancies.

Nature is relentless and merciless. No wonder we have evolved great big brains and the process is continuing. I have personally nearly been evolved out of here a few times. My genes are obviously not the best available. On the other hand, a miss is as good as a mile, so maybe I have got the magic ingredients.

It's true to say that everything living right now has got the "right stuff".
