The whole Zarqawi drama was to take off the focus from Murtha's Sunday TV appearances and the debates about his proposals. By evening, news reports were saying that it is "highly unlikely" that Zarqawi was killed. Zarqawi will not be killed or captured, just as Osama bin Laden was not. If he is, then he will be replaced by another name that will give the Bushit-es a reason to continue the occupation.
