"Are they able to blame him for their current mess, or do they blame it on some amorphous governmental unit, or simply attribute it to an act of God?"

A bit of all three. Not a clue as to how it will evolve, the local economies were hit hard. Now the contractors are currently making out like bandits, literally. And prices for almost everything have gone through the roof. That, combined with the refinery workers and those working on offshore platforms being out of work for extended times means Christmas isn't going to be kind. When that starts to sink in, no telling how things will go.

I don't get how those blue tarps are keeping roofs from leaking. We probably get the same amount of rain as that part of TX and blue tarps would be a temporary fix....like 3-4 days. Its been two months! I really feel sorry for those folks.

You know what really kills me is that they never moved all those trailers from FLA. You know why? They are for Jeb Bush and FLA. In case he needs them. Its amazing how they operate the US like its their fiefdom.......and then there was this "moderate Dem." on the GW Bush thread who was defending Jeb. Of course, you would if you were a Floridian.......and to hell with the rest of the country.
