CR, are you familiar with the area? I was doing a bit of consulting out there several years ago and I drive through the area on occasion. My anecdotal evidence is that the entire economy is driven by consumer goods and home building. If you don't work in one of the myriad distribution centers there, and you are not a construction worker, you are commuting into LA or Orange County (for 2+ hours a day).

Should consumption ever fall back to its historical norm as a % of GDP, I imagine this area will be severely affected.
