11:46 Color on INTC/MU NAND partnership

Amtech believes the INTC/MU NAND partnership simply makes good sense for both players, with a big impact for MU particularly. Firm believes combined, INTC and MU have a substantial IP portfolio, and that this partnership will have negative implications for players such as SNDK and FLSH. They also believe this is a near term positive for the semicap equipment players, and think the news should be mildly beneficial to companies such as AMAT, LRCX, KLAC, NVLS and ASML and perhaps even others... WR Hambrecht believes this news is negative for SNDK, and thinks the increase of supply should benefit FLSH/LEXR as these companies now have access to significantly more supply next year. They believe that eventually both LEXR and FLSH will sign a supply agreement for NAND flash with MU as the JV now creates a much stronger competitor in the market. Firm also believes SSTI will benefit in that Intel is unlikely to come back into the market in low density NOR flash.
