Sid:

Thank you once again for your reasonable and insightfull post. Now you are on to the true points in the IAI story. What we need is some solid earnings estimates and other numbers form IAI.

A certain amount of uncertainty would be expected in such numbers, but a company with as solid an accounting history as IAI can certainly give us something.

As investors we do have the right to know the answer to the question: 'How much money do you expect to make.' I am a reasonable guy, and I am willing to wait for a short while, but waiting till the figures are out and real may be just too much to expect under the transition circumstances at IAI.

What we have to make do with iso far is 200 million. If you look at the Bloomberg article, even this is inferred from between the lines of a highly biased negative article. It seems to be the minimum 1998 figures, if I read the data correctly. The variation on these figures up is not bounded.

Perhaps you can join everyone else in calling IAI and NEWBY to eliminate this period of uncertainty that has left we long's vulnerable to such a huge temporary loss.

Again, more analysts and more public financial data from IAI are called for here. Even a date of release of estimates would be positive.

In the mean-time, I will try to get back to you with my own thumbnail sketch of low end estimates.
