"Perjury, obstruction of justice, lying to a tribunal, etc. are never "personal" matters....." I agree! But, hey... you start out looking into a little backwoods land deal, (or the 'inadvertant' exposure of a C.I.A. agent who's spouse just so happens to be a critic), and... you never know what will turn up! That seems to be the way these things go sometimes... they start a little investigation and it finds things and files unexpected charges.
