Contrast that with the actual words of Murthas resolution and you will see a great deal of difference.

This is what Murtha proposed, "Section 1. The deployment of United States forces in Iraq, by direction of Congress, is hereby terminated and the forces involved are to be redeployed at the earliest practicable date."

Notice the word practicable<b/>. Their are other phrases in his statement that it should be done without risking the lives of our military.

This is vastly different than the blanket statement of the republican resolution, with no qualifications, for immediate<b/> withdrawal.
