Unfortunately you really can't know the answers to those questions. You could debate them till the cows came how, but the folks who believed in the war would probably believe that Iraq would be more stable, and that more could be accomplished if we stayed, and the folks on the other side would think the opposite. There is no way to test the future, except by living it. Most of us have probably read articles that marshall facts for both sides- and at the moment it sure looks like 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.
