She destroyed the credibility of her article when she said there has been no connection between hussein and AQ. Guess she forgot about the training camps and guest visits by top AQ folk with hussein.

Saddam Hussein had as much to fear from AQ as we do. He was the head of a secular government.

Nobody is saying Saddam Hussein was a good guy. He was in it for himself. He couldn't even trust his own relatives. How could he have trusted AQ?

AQ probably think that we are easier to deal with than with Hussein. They didn't go near Iraq when Hussein was in charge.

Hussein was brutal. He was brutal to his own people. He would have been just as brutal to AQ.
