"You criticize us now for invading Iraq for what you consider just that reason"

I have tried to take a balanced view. I don't like the hatred that is thrown at Americans just because they are big dog. I would like to see your country be respected as I do respect you.

But your own people are questioning and condemning. It is never good to ignore honest opinions sincerely voiced. There is some truth from both sides and repeating past mistakes gives you the same fallen cake.

"They were still quite capable of fighting"

I didn't say they weren't still capable.

"Again, you criticize us for entering Iraq without that."

Again--my opinion is that you might have chosen a better course or perhaps waited for some bricks to fall into place. Nobody knows the future; but it seems that mistakes were made.

"Did no English have a part in making Hitler mighty?"

What I just said...

"FDR FINALLY ended the Great Depression in the US by entering WW2, too. So?"

So what I was referring to was that many Americans, Brits, and Canadians were supportive of Hitler as an ally against Communist expansion. And I mean more than words--$$$$$$$$.

As I said: "just as an aside". No need to beat it to death!
