You'd better be careful! The National and major law firm that his boss with with is heavily Democratic!

One might think you'd better be careful with grammar, but that's another story. His boss with with? What does that mean, anyway? So, I looked it up and found this amusing snippet:

His appearance at a Nov. 2 hearing provided insight into how Abramoff pulled off his alleged scams while working for the multinational law firm, including the alleged submission of a phony $1 million invoice to a tribal client with the name Greenberg misspelled.

That would be Greenburg of Greenberg Traurig , perhaps the allegedly heavily Democratic firm. Full story at law.com . The other story that turned up at the top of the google list was this one:

Superlobbyist Jack Abramoff accused former employer Greenberg Traurig yesterday of “overreacting” to negative publicity surrounding the firm’s multi-million-dollar lobbying contracts for Indian gaming projects.

Abramoff, who resigned from the giant Miami-based firm Tuesday, also accused his former partners of acting unprofessionally in announcing his departure.

Amusingly, that story is dated 3/4/04. I guess this stuff has been cooking for a while. There could be some Democratic associations in there somewhere, but with DeLay's assidious freezeout of anybody with Democratic connections on the lobbying front, and Abramoff's close association with DeLay, it doesn't seem all that probable.
