Iraq War U.S. Military Deaths now 2100. Only took one month to go from 2000 to 2100. We will be talking about te 3,000 American military causualty, unfortunately, by the end of next summer. It will surely be a hot political debate during next year's election campaign. I get the sense that the situation in Iraq is spiralling out of control. The death rate for American soldiers has doubled since previous periods to an average of 4 per day. It appears that the Sunnis are now in civil war against the Shites. Not a pretty situation developing. All the more reason to get our people the hell out of there. We don't need to be involved in another civil war.
