We differ there then. I want a US that minds it's own business, tends to it's own citizens, and if it spreads democracy, does so by example, by being the "shining city on the hill".

If we're to launch any "foreign adventures", I'd rather our project be to raise our neighbors to the south up to our economic level - through methods OTHER than conquest.

I'd rather the US not go for empire. Have we voted for empire? Have we been asked?
