The computer chip is quickly becoming a commodity item.

That is why Intel no longer considers itself just a processor manufacturing company, but now considers itself a Platform based manufacture. The primary example would be Centrino.

This is being expanded to Cell Phones, Smart Appliances, Televisions, etc.

Apple other than publicity wise is not considered a major event at Intel. It will have only a small effect on the bottom line ~ 5%.

One could note that Intel has been hiring to the point that parking at some of its plants for employees is getting very tight.
